Diving Centers and Liveaboards

Diving and watersports done sustainably!

If you’re visiting Sharm El Sheikh, chances are you’re interested in immersing yourself in the exquisite marine life. When you do, remember to choose a Green Fins certified dive center for your water-based adventure.

Green Fins is the world’s first independent certificate to stop the environmental impact from marine-based tourism. It is a proven conservation management approach – implemented internationally by The Reef-World Foundation and the UN Environment Programme – which leads to a measurable reduction in the negative environmental impacts associated with marine tourism.

Divers, snorkelers, and water sport enthusiasts are encouraged to choose a Green Fins certified watersports center, to ensure their practices reduce pressure on coral reefs and the marine ecosystem.

Marine tour operators can apply to become Green Fins certified by undergoing an assessment of their operations and measures. The program offers marine tourism operators practical, low-cost alternatives to harmful practices – such as anchoring, fish feeding and chemical pollution – as well as providing strategic training, support and resources. The Green Fins certification program was introduced in Egypt in 2019 and is managed locally by the Chamber of Diving & Water Sports.
